Accessibility Statement
-
Drawing on the World Wide Web Consortium's guidelines, I have chosen the best solutions to make my website accessible and open to all users, taking into account the principles of accessibility, internationalization, privacy, and security.
-
For this reason, in the creation and development process of my product (Chameleon Website), I will use a light font to ensure that all readers, even those with visual impairments, understand the content. To further improve the reading experience, I will choose larger, bolder fonts for titles and headings, while for paragraph text, the font will always be legible using a light font.
-
Considering the vibrant style of my website, which will feature chameleon-like colors, I will use color contrast to aid visualization. If a button has a similar color to the background, it will be difficult for the user to use, which could result in a loss of attention. Therefore, to make it more visible, my buttons will be bold, yet aesthetically pleasing.
-
If there are videos, I'll try to offer transcripts/subtitles for the hearing impaired, for example. I'll also make sure my website is accessible on various platforms, including mobile devices. This is crucial for both SEO and the overall usability experience.
-
Another extremely important W3C principle concerns security and privacy, so during the construction process, I'll add this "security and privacy" section, along with the privacy and cookie policy, to the site pages.
-
To ensure the site is understandable, I'll work on the texts to be current and highly understandable, obviously following the project's tone of voice, to ensure the audience feels comfortable and can easily understand the message.
-
One last thing I'll keep in mind is sustainability, rightfully so because this website will be used long-term.Therefore, to make and maintain my site sustainable, I'll update the content/projects regularly, including the cookie policy whenever necessary.
